Four new Constitutional Court judges nominated

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, forwarded today to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia the nomination of four candidates for the total of four vacant posts of constitutional judges on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia.
The president of the Republic proposes that Dr Mirjam Marjeta Škrk and Dr Janez Čebulj, whose terms of office expired on 30 October 2007, shall be replaced by Higher Judge Mag. Darinka Dekleva Marguč and Higher Judge Dr Boštjan Zalar, assoc. prof.
According to the president of the Republic, Constitutional Court Judge Mrs Milojka Modrijan, whose term of office expired on 31 October 2007, shall be replaced by Mag. Marta Klampfer, president of the Higher Labour and Social Court Ljubljana.
The president of the Republic further proposes that Dr Zvonko Fišer, whose term of office expires on 17 December 2007, shall be replaced as a Constitutional Court judge by Dr Miodrag Ðorðević.
From the four candidates nominated for Constitutional Court judges, the president of the Republic nominates from those who responded to his invitations Mag. Darinka Dekleva Marguč, Assoc. Prof. Dr Boštjan Zalar and Dr Miodrag Ðorðević, while Mag. Marta Klampfer is nominated without an invitation.
