Both in the delegation talks and the one-to-one meeting, the two presidents discussed finding a compromise solution for Bulgaria and North Macedonia that would be acceptable to both sides and constitute the basis for North Macedonia to start negotiations for EU membership.

The two presidents will personally advocate finding a compromise solution. President Pahor and President Radev agree that EU enlargement to the Western Balkans is needed, and should happen as soon as possible.

A week before, President Pahor discussed the same topic in Ohrid with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski.

After the meeting, President Pahor and President Radev made a statement to the press.
