Leaders of Brdo Brijuni Process meet in Tirana

Slovenian president Borut Pahor and Croatian president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović together with the host, Albanian president Ilir Meta, hosted a meeting of the leaders of the Brdo Brijuni Process today. This year the leaders of the initiative gathered in Tirana. The special guests at the meeting were EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and Polish President Andrzej Duda.

This year’s meeting of the leaders of the Brdo Brijuni Process was attended by Ilir Meta, Borut Pahor, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Milorad Dodik, Šefik Džaferović, Hashim Thaçi, Aleksandar Vučić and Milo Đukanović.

At this meeting of the leaders of the Brdo Brijuni Process, the co-chairs of the initiative, the Slovenian and Croatian presidents, wished to confirm and reinforce the countries’ and the EU’s commitment to continuing the process of expansion of the European Union, and at the same time to consolidate trust and dedication to stability and reconciliation in the Southeast Europe region. Due to the current conditions in Europe and around the world, it is urgent that we promote political dialogue and maintain our mutual trust and our awareness of the urgent need for the continuous resolution of unresolved bilateral and regional issues.
