Brdo pri Kranju, 12. 9. 2022 | press release, Brdo Brijuni Process

President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, hosted 11th leaders meeting of the Brdo-Brijuni Process at Brdo pri Kranju.

The meeting is being attended by all leaders of the initiative: the co-leader of the Initiative, Croatian President Zoran Milanović; Albanian President Bajram Begaj; three members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Željko Komšić, Milorad Dodik and Šefik Džaferović; Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović; Kosovar President dr. Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu; North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

The Brdo–Brijuni Process initiative was formed in 2010 when the then Slovenian and Croatian Prime Ministers, Borut Pahor and Jadranka Kosor, respectively, following the signing of the agreement on arbitration between the two countries, wished to set an example for Western Balkan leaders and encourage them to solve bilateral issues and increase the pace of EU integration. In more than a decade, the Brdo–Brijuni Process has developed into the most important political initiative of its kind in South-East Europe and subsequently gave rise to the Berlin Process.

The leaders adopted six conclusions at the meeting:
