THE WORLD IS ACKNOWLEDGING THAT WE WERE RIGHT

Had it not been for your fathers, your sons and brothers, without dedicated defence of an independent Slovenia for which we unanimously decided at the plebiscite, we would not be celebrating this day today, underlined President of the Republic Milan Kucan in his address today at the traditional reception for the families of those who gave their lives in the war for Slovenia. Many statesmen the world over are acknowledging that we were right. We can be proud of this, for on our way we persistently expanded the area of freedom, peace and prosperity, added President Kucan who stayed on to converse with the guests.
