President Türk receives Russian Prime Minister Putin

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, today received the Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, who is visiting Slovenia at the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart, Borut Pahor.
The two leaders discussed relations between the two countries and agreed that these were developing productively. They underlined the long history of relations between Slovenia and Russia and that relations are reflected in the series of bilateral agreements signed between the two countries and in the growing volume of current economic cooperation. Cultural cooperation is also thriving.
The two leaders also discussed future developments of bilateral relations which are extending ever wider, with special emphasis on economic cooperation, in particular in connection with the South Stream Project.
President Türk and Prime Minister Putin devoted the final part of their meeting to discussing current international issues.
