In his address, President Türk pointed out that Slovenia has currently three capitals: Ljubljana as the national capital, Maribor as the European Capital of Culture, and Lendava as the world capital of bograč (a goulash-like stew).

The idea for the tourist promotion of Lendava by way of this Pannonian culinary speciality was suggested by the president upon his visit to student Bogračfest five years ago. Today, he expressed his satisfaction over the successful realisation of this idea and his belief that this event will attract even more attention in the years ahead.
