 | Today at Brdo pri Kranju, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, received the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Mr Mirek Topolánek. Their discussion focused primarily on issues related to the future of the European Union and the forthcoming Czech EU Presidency. The Czech Prime Minister said that they have learned a great deal from the Slovenian EU Presidency and that they intend to follow a path similar to the one taken by Slovenia. Dr Türk and Mr Topolánek also exchanged views on the situation in Georgia and discussed bilateral relations. They agreed that relations between the two countries were excellent and spoke at some length about the forthcoming visit by Dr Türk to the Czech Republic, scheduled to take place in December 2008. |
