President Türk objects to statement of President Mesić

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, has objected to the latest statement of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić. Dr Türk pointed out that the amendments made by Slovenia to Mr Rehn's proposal comply with international law and that all the solutions will also comply with international law. The Republic of Slovenia will continue to protect its legitimate interests in accordance with international law and advocate constructive solutions. Oral confrontation does not lead to progress, and we need to find an arrangement from which both sides would benefit. The Slovenian President again proposed that overheated rhetoric should no longer be used and that Slovenia's arguments must be considered.
